High Sign Tent in the Oaks
GUIDEBOOK

Welcome to the High Sign Tent in the Oaks! We hope you enjoy a quiet, comfortable stay underneath our oak trees. Call or text Michele at 773-330-7297 if you need anything during your stay.
Access to Common Areas
Our tent is nestled in our large, private backyard. During your stay, you are welcome to use the entire backyard, the deck, and the house interior.
Bathroom, Shower & Laundry
The bathroom, shower and laundry for the Tent in the Oaks is located inside our home on the lower level. Enter through the door to the garage, and proceed through the garage to the interior of our home.

Quite Hours & Lights Off
The Tent in the Oaks is adjacent to neighbors who have children and full-time jobs. Please be respectful of them and of our other guests, and observe quiet hours and lights off between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.
Campfires & Cooking
If you want to enjoy a fire in our fire pit or use our charcoal grill, check with me first to make sure the weather conditions will allow. I usually have firewood and charcoal available, or you can bring your own.
You are welcome to use our main kitchen upstairs or our mini kitchen in the lower level to store and prepare food.
Our Outdoor Animals and Inside Pets
A wide variety of wildlife enjoys our backyard, including skunks. Avoid them, and they will avoid you. Our house is home to several cats. Do not let our cats out at any time! If you have any issues with wildlife or with our cats, call us immediately at 773-330-7297.
Parking, Coming, and Going
Kindly park your vehicle on the street, across from our house. Do not park in front of mailboxes or in our driveway. We need to come and go, and need to receive our mail. And do not let your tires touch our neighbor's grass.
To come and go during your stay, enter and exit through the wooden gate at the east (downhill) side of our home.
Anemities
We have tried to equip our tent with enough basics for you to be comfortable, including an air mattress, air pillow, and fan and/or heating blanket. However, remember that it is tent camping, and a certain amount of "roughing it" is involved.
You have been provided with an extension cord so you can charge your devices and run small appliances like fans or radios. Also, our WiFi reaches the tent:
